Welcome to Northwest Oncology Clinic. Being diagnosed with cancer can be overwhelming. We want to do everything we can to help you through this process. Our staff is committed to providing you with quality cancer care as though you were a member of our own family and are prepared to assist you through the treatment process whether it is chemotherapy, radiation therapy or a combination of both.
We cannot help you if you are unaware of any problems you may be experiencing. Please let us know when you do not feel well or if something is troubling you. We appreciate your communication. Many times there are simple measures that can be taken to help alleviate any problems you may experience. Please call us, or talk to us while you are in the clinic, and let us know that you are experiencing problems. Please do not assume that you must “live with it,” or that “it goes along with the treatment.”
During office hours, our receptionist will connect you directly to one of our nurses for any questions and concerns you may have. However, if a nurse is not available at that time, please leave a message on our voice mail explaining your situation. Your chart will be pulled and reviewed. You are important to us and we will try to call you back as soon as possible. Please be patient, it may be a couple of hours before we can return your call. If it is an emergency, please notify our receptionist so she can ensure that your call is answered immediately.
After hours and on weekends, please call the clinic at (219) 924-8178 and speak with our answering service. They will contact the oncologist that is on call for our clinic. The office is open Monday through Friday between 8:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.
At this time, we would like to remind you to always stop at the receptionist’s desk when you arrive, following your doctor’s visit, and again before you leave. The receptionist will make all your follow-up appointments and direct you through the clinic if you have multiple visits scheduled in one day such as lab, imaging, doctor visits, and/or treatment. By following this suggestion, it will help avoid missed appointments and any treatment delays.
